Okay, we've all learned by now that the Europeans brought smallpox to North America which led to the decimation of the Native American population. Now scientists speculate that Native Americans may have returned the favor by passing on syphilis.
Serves 'em right. Philandering pigs.

Love the Giant Microbes site. I gave my brother-in-law bubonic plague for this birthday last year -- he was thrilled.
I posted on them back in 2005, but this seemed like a good place to use the pic....
