The best of all possible worlds

Punkinhead is reading Candide. (Granted, it's for an actual class, not for pleasure.) But we were talking about it last night (We talk!) and it struck me that there are probably fewer than a thousand American teenagers who could possibly discuss Pangloss intelligently. Sad.
