Now scientists have invented a new machine that could rapidly judge the taste and aromatic qualities of eight different types of espresso nearly as accurately as a panel of trained human espresso tasters.
The device analyzes gases released by a heated espresso sample. It then interprets this chemical data into taste qualities such as "roasted," "flowery," "woody," "citrus,"
"toffee" and "cocoa."
They developed a robot to tell them that espresso is roasted? That must have taken years. And how does one become a 'trained human espresso taster'
I've been neglecting my book posting. Not that I haven't been reading, I just keep forgetting to post them. At any rate, I'll drop in my last two since I have them. (The rest have returned to the library from whence they came.)
Candy Apple Red by Nancy Bush. The formulaic sassy middle-aged single gal solving a mystery. This one has an odd twist, but nothing to write home about.
Heart of Fire by Kat Martin. Trash, but relatively well-written trash. Relatively.
