Long-held

The talk of Fidel Castro announcing his pending resignation as leader of Cuba, spawned lists of other long-serving rulers. One of which was Louis XIV of France, who took the throne at age 5 and held it until his death 72 years later. He was followed by his son Louis XV who reigned for 59 years.
I was curious about other French kings, so I pulled up wiki's list of French monarchs. I didn't find any more as enduring, but I was amused by the titles they held. Between 1328 and 1498, France had kings who went by "the Fortunate," "the Good," "the Wise," "the Beloved" and "the Mad," "the Victorious," "the Well-Served," "the Prudent" and "the Spider," "the Affable."

It's nice to see that the Spider was followed by the Affable.
