On this day in history

A little-known suburb of Brussels, Belgium, became famous nearly 200 years ago today. And in doing so, bestowed its name to our lexicon.

And forced us to endure cheesy pop music.

I had absolutely no idea that Waterloo was in Belgium. Not sure where I thought Waterloo was. Although I think I had a notion that it was an island -- confusing Waterloo with St. Alba. Not proud of this!!
