Friday Book Blogging

Great god! In all the excitement of the past week (did you hear that there was an election?) and the warm weather (for optimum leaf raking), I didn't get more than four books read all told. Still, I must choose a favorite.
This week's is Edward Marston's The Counterfeit Crank. It's not his best in the series of mysteries featuring Nicholas Bracewell and Lord Westfield's Men, but any mystery story involving actors in Elizabethan England gets additional points for creativity. Not to mention the fact that Bracewell is a dreamy character.
And if you don't like the late 1500s, try any of Marston's other series (He's quite prolific and very good.) that take place anywhere in the past 1000 years or so.
