Friday Book Blogging

Of the five books I returned to the library this week, I liked Tasha Alexander's And Only to Deceive. Two weeks ago, I had chosen the most recent in her Lady Emily Ashton series as my second favorite, but this week I read the first and enjoyed it.
I liked the beginning of feminism that the character explores at the end of Victoria's reign. The mystery was convoluted enough to be entertaining, but not ridiculously complicated.
This is not a prize-winner, but the story and characterizations were lively, and worth adding Ms. Alexander to my list of authors to grab on future library visits.
