You know those shipping containers that go overseas? How'd you like to live in one?
How about if it looked like this?
It seems that re-used shipping containers are the newest in green housing. London and Amsterdam have whole complexes made out of them.
A standard container is 40 feet long, 8 feet wide and 8 and a half feet high. 320 square feet of living space in a self-contained box. People have been living in reclaimed containers for decades, but now the architects have caught on and are making them into something much more appealing than a rusted box.
