Punkinhead is learning to live with the consequences of her decisions. She is suffering from allergies. They are making her light-headed, vaguely dizzy and headache-y.
After a visit to the doctor who determined there was nothing more serious going on and a recommendation to try something a bit stronger (and less sleep-inducing) than Benedryl, she was given the option to return to school or go home. Going home would disqualify her from participating in the final choir concert of the year.
Despite the fact that she loves choir above all things, she chose home. She now understands that upon entering the house at 10:40 am yesterday morning, she closed the door on the concert. I'm not sure she really believed that until last night at 7:30 pm.
She also learned that her mother is a stubborn bitch who never goes back on her word. (She already pretty much knew this.) I wish other kids would learn these same lessons.
