Hatchery

Last Friday, the mayflies landed. "Swarms of the nasty bugs, which hatch in Lake Erie by the gazillions, come ashore and blanket homes and buildings, cars and trucks, and streets and signs."
We call them Canadian soldiers here (with apologies to our Canadian neighbors). And Friday they coated any surface near a light.
The best thing about them is they don't live for more than a day. The coolest thing about them is when you grab one by the wings, its abdomen does a little hula.
