Friday Book Blogging

For the second week in a row we face a mediocre four book week that had no front-runner. The one I'll choose (for the purposes of choosing) is Avery Aames' The Long Quiche Goodbye, not because of any literary merit, but because it was an enjoyable story that was exactly what it promised to be: a slightly fluffy cozy mystery peopled with just-a-shade-too-kooky caricatures. In other words, fun. And it made me want to eat cheese enough that I have since purchased about a pound of the stuff from the fromagerie in the local grocery store. (My personal favorite being a white English cheddar that was aged 15 months. It is heavenly with a slice of honeycrisp apple.)
