Due to a day off work, I'm terribly behind on my posting. I'm trying to charge myself up a bit with a handful of candy from the candy dish. It got me thinking about candy and sugar and that led to a query on how much sugar we eat. I now no longer want any candy. A 2003 study that appeared in US News said we consume 142 pounds of sugar per person per year in the U.S. (Although, it seems we are cutting back since the USDA says that in 2000 we were at 155 pounds per person per year.)
Still. I'm gonna have to cut out the candy corn this Halloween.
