Orange

Disclaimer: this post is not about John Boehner (although your confusion is understandable due to the misleading title). Despite the fact that both are puffed up, cheesy, corny, half-baked orange items that can be purchased, The post I wrote is about Cheese Doodles, Cheetos, Corn Twistees, etc.

Where do cheezee poofs come from? They are full of calories, a respectable amount of fat, very little fiber, and no nutrients whatsoever, but I can snarf a bag in under two hours.
As I was contemplating my orange fingers, I thought, "This is a decidedly American invention." Wikipedia says they were patented in 1939. No where else would someone think of taking corn and pulping it, extruding it, frying (or baking) it, and coating it with a cheese-like powder.
The cheese-like powder is the true genius of the product.
