Friday Book Blogging
Good lord, it's Friday already! This week we're going with my daughter's recommendation, Tim Gunn's Gunn's Golden Rules, Life's Little Lessons for Making it Work. Ada Calhoun is credited as a co-writer, but I have never read a book that was more in a person's voice than this one. You can hear Tim Gunn speaking throughout. The book is a cross of gossip, life stories, and homespun advice, but fortunately doesn't stray into preachy territory. It was a light, fun read. Just the kind of thing to pick up around the holidays to remind yourself to be polite and extra-nice in the face of all the frenzied rudeness. Plus without a storyline, there's no plot to lose track of while you're untangling the lights or waiting in line or writing out cards or shopping for Aunt Beryl or... .
