Knit to fit

I have no knitting skills whatsoever. So perhaps it's understandable that graffiti knitting passed under my radar for over five years until now.
Graffiti knitting, also known as yarnbombing, is the knitting of "garments" for the public items that would usually be spraypainted (or "tagged" as the kids say).

None of this inspires me to pick up a pair of needles and learn what purling is, but it is pretty cool. And really, who hasn't wanted to put a hat on a statue?
