Rest in Peace

Sunday, January 22, 2012 by G. Brunner
Following Friday's post of the profane, we are beginning the week with the sacred. On Sunday we walked some of the 196 acres that make up the Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, NY. The terrain is hilly and wooded and the graves are situated in such a way to make it look almost haphazard. Under a layer of snow on a clear winter day, it was beautiful. We paid homage to Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass as well as others whose names are not so well-known.
