I'm embarrassed to admit that I did not read anything but chick-lit trash this week. Of the four that I devoured, I will tip both Christina Dodd's Secrets of Bella Terra which is the first in a trilogy of "romantic suspense" or, as I like to call it, a thriller with sex; and Amanda Quick's Mistress, which is much the same in the way of suspense and sex, but takes place in Victorian England instead of present-day California wine country.
