Friday Book Blogging

A couple months back, a coworker took her kids to see teen author Meg Cabot (of Princess Diaries fame). One of the things the author touched on was her beginnings as a "smutty" romance novelist.
"Where Roses Grow Wild, her first romance novel (under the pen name Patricia Cabot, so her grandmother wouldn't know she was writing smutty books) was published [in 1998]."
This reminded me that waaaay back when I first began visiting the library with my Punkinhead I might have picked one of these books up. And enjoyed it. But 1998 was a long time ago, so to job my memory I borrowed another.
Educating Caroline is fun, well-written, and not-at-all-smutty. It's a relatively typical historical romance, but Cabot's style shows through.
