Reeling

One of my closest friends, who I have known and worked with daily for 17 years, suddenly became a widow last night.
I remember, when her father died, when our neighbor died, when my mother-in-law died, there was prep time. This is so shockingly sudden. It still seems impossible.
We know that in this game of life, no one gets out alive, so we should be better equipped to deal with death when it spins us around and slams us against a wall.

RIP Larry. You will be missed. A lot.
