Norway has announced that they will be carbon-neutral by 2050.
In just over 40 years, the country will function so that "each tonne of greenhouse gases emitted is to be offset by an equivalent reduction elsewhere. This adds up to zero emissions."
Now, I'm not going to gainsay anyone who points out here that Norwegians are special (and not in the short-bus sense of the word), but really, if Norway can do it, most anyone else should be able to do it as well. Right?
