Happy Robert Burns Day

My brother has brought to my attention that the 21-year-old U.S. ban of haggis is being lifted today.

"[B]utchers in the US have tried, and failed, to make their own versions of the pudding without using the vital ingredient: sheep. ...'We have had to put up with the US version, which is made from beef and is bloody awful.'" As opposed to the traditional Scots' version with "its main ingredient - minced sheep offal."

Awful. Offal. You say potato. I say po-tah-to.

I'm going to a yearly Burns celebration next Sunday.

I always say I'm going to buy a kilt before the next one, but I never do.
