If you're in Northern Ohio this weekend, stop by Thomas Edison's birthplace for the Milan Melon Festival. As they say on the website, "People come from miles around for the watermelon sherbet and muskmelon ice cream." (So totally worth it!)
Or there's the Oktoberfest for beer, brats, and Beethoven. (If Ludwig is a little too high-brow for you the oompah bands have also broken out the lederhosen.)
