Friday Book Blogging

This was an acceptable four-book week. The easy winner was Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. In a sharp, well-written account of our most beloved President's secret life as a vampire hunter, you'll have to work at suspending your disbelief, but Grahame-Smith makes it worth your efforts.
The book reads as a real biography. The photos are precisely doctored. And, while it won't make you laugh out loud, the wit behind the story worms through every page. The only complaints I have is the cliched beginning and the predictable end. Silliness always has a place on the bookshelf.

Sounds like a great read.
