Do I think we should be eating more steamed broccoli and less cheesy french fries? Yes.
Do I think that a parent who relies on cheeseburgers and cola to feed their children, with or without a toy, is irresponsible. Of course.
Does that mean lawmakers should legislate what goes into a Happy Meal? No. How about you just make sure your kids don't eat so many.

They said remarkably similar things early in the century when the government tried to ban companies from putting poisons in foods.
While the amount of fat and salt in a Happy Meal could be seen as poison, I don't think outlawing the toys will solve this problem. This isn't a matter of "what we don't know..." We DO know what's in this food. It is our job as adults to monitor and control the consumption responsibly. Moms need to re-learn the word NO.
