Do you know, your Congressmen (and women) get paid for doing nothing? That's right! They shut down the government because they are under the mistaken impression that this is what "the people" want. Unless the people in question are the billionaires and corporations who are financing them.
Now is your chance to let your representative know you think he's (or she's) being a dick. Send an email and ask them to PASS A BUDGET. One without playing politics with the Affordable Care Act.
And while they're at it, they can decline to accept a salary while all the government personnel who are home without pay until the Congressmen (-women) get off their arrogant, stubborn, dead horses and pass the budget and debt ceiling increase.
Then maybe, JUST maybe, they can increase their popularity up to the same level as cockroaches.
